Affinity
Everyone has 1 Elemental Affinity, but can learn to use other elements they don't have an Affinity with.
Learning to use your Affinity
The 1st elemental Jutsu you learn with your Affinity requires double the normal Experience points, every Elemental Jutsu with your affinity after that requires the normal amount of experience points.
Learning to use Non-Affinity Elements
The 1st elemental Jutsu you learn that you don't have an Affinity with, requires triple the normal Experience points, every Elemental Jutsu with your affinity after that requires the normal amount of experience points.
Learning Kekkei genkai Elements
Kekkei genkai Elements require a certain chakra type. You must get an approval by all 5 kages in order to have a Kekkei genkai element.
Learning to use a Kekkei genkai element is the same as Learning to use Non-Affinity Elements
